Barcelona is ready to sue over Dani Olmo. As reports that the Blaugrana applied to the court of general jurisdiction in order to obtain the temporary registration of the midfielder. The hearing at Barcelona Commercial Court No. 10 will take place on December 23.
If the parties do not reach an agreement on Monday, the judge will render his verdict on December 27.
Barcelona has two weeks left to register Olmo, the deadline is December 31. If the decision is not made in favor of the club, then there is a possibility that the midfielder will exercise the right to terminate the contract.
The Blaugrana are confident that the situation will be resolved in an appropriate manner, but admit that it will become difficult otherwise.
Barcelona intends to act in the same way as a year ago in the case of Gavi. The team`s representatives argued in the same court that the player had the right to work, and were ultimately successful.
However, the Catalans also have a backup plan: in order to make room for Olmo on the payroll, managers can remove Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who is recovering from a serious injury, from the squad. There are also hopes of commercial deals, including with Nike.
