Andrei Vasilevsky spoke about the ceremony in honor of his 300th NHL victory. The ceremony took place before the match against New Jersey (4:0). Tampa gave Vasilevskiy a gold stick in honor of 300 NHL victories. Team captain Victor Hedman presented him with a custom engraved watch.
Recall that the victory over Winnipeg (4:1) on November 15 was the 300th for the goalie in his NHL career in the regular season. He reached this mark faster than any goalkeeper in history - in 490 matches.
In the game with New Jersey, Vasilevskiy made his 2nd shutout of the season, stopping 29 shots.
